ABOUT VICTORIA

løfte Practitioner and Founder

Victoria graduated from Southampton University in 2006 with first class honours in physiotherapy. Since then she worked initially in the NHS and moved into London based private practice in 2011. She has always had an interest in sports injuries and biomechanics and completed her masters in clinical biomechanics in 2017, with her final year research project investigating the effects of a unique strength programme on running technique.

Victoria is passionate about what she does and is focused on ensuring that every patient leaves their first appointment with a clear diagnosis and treatment plan. She uses a combination of carefully selected hands on treatments and exercise, and has a particular interest in strength and conditioning.

Victoria has been and continues to be involved in competitive sport, both athletics and rowing, throughout her adult life. This first hand experience as an athlete allows her to empathise with others and understand their keenness to return to activity as soon as possible. Her treatment approach always aims to enable the quickest return to daily activities or sport and avoid unnecessary, prolonged periods of rest or corrective exercise.

Anna is a Soft Tissue Therapist passionate about helping you feel and move better through hands-on techniques which are tailored to you; such as sports and remedial massage, soft tissue release, and myofascial, neuromuscular and muscle energy techniques. She gained her Level 5 BTEC qualification in Soft Tissue Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). She is a current member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage (ISRM).

Anna comes from a farming, sports and office job background. This has helped her understand the importance of being able to move freely and without pain, whether it is for recreational sport, work or daily life. She has an awareness of the many stresses that we put on our bodies and wants to help relieve tension and restrictions that can build in our muscles and joints.

Her sole aim is for you to leave the treatment room feeling better than when you walked in and for you to be able to live and enjoy your life to the full.

Anna has a varied sporting background, playing hockey from an early age which led her to be 1st XI captain at Durham University and Spencer HC. Alongside and after hockey Anna completed running races from 5km to marathons, including road, trail, cross country and obstacle races. She then dipped her toe into the triathlon world, joined Clapham Chasers and completed races from sprint to Ironman distance, including representing GB age-groups at Olympic distance.
